CareReview Names Jennifer Gibson, MD, Chief Medical Officer as Company Expands Clinical Review Solutions Across Healthcare Markets

ARLINGTON, Texas — September 29, 2026 — CareReview, Inc., a privately held, founder-led independent review organization (IRO) that is URAC accredited and HITRUST r2 certified, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Gibson, MD, as Chief Medical Officer, strengthening the company's clinical leadership as it continues to expand its independent clinical review solutions across health plans, PBMs, TPAs, self-funded employers, government programs, workers' compensation organizations and long-term disability carriers.

Dr. Gibson brings more than 25 years of clinical experience and more than a decade of health plan utilization management leadership to CareReview. Most recently, she spent 11 years with Cambia Health Solutions, where she served as Medical Director and Vice President of Utilization Management Physicians. In that role, she developed extensive experience at the intersection of clinical decision-making, utilization management, health plan operations and physician leadership. Her background also includes clinical practice in internal medicine, urgent care and occupational medicine.

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Gibson will provide physician leadership and clinical oversight across CareReview's growing portfolio of clinical review solutions. She will work closely with CareReview's clinical, operations, quality and executive leadership teams to support clinical standards, physician review, medical policy and evidence-based decision-making while helping the organization respond to the evolving needs of its clients.

Her background in occupational medicine connects directly to that workers' compensation and disability heritage, while her health plan leadership aligns with the company's growth in group health. Her appointment comes as CareReview builds on its longstanding foundation in workers' compensation and disability and expands its work across group health, commercial and government health plans, PBMs, TPAs and self-funded organizations.

Before joining Cambia, Dr. Gibson practiced as an Internal Medicine Physician with Legacy Health and as an Urgent Care Physician with Kaiser Permanente. Earlier, she practiced occupational medicine and urgent care with Concentra. She completed a General Internal Medicine Fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University and earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
